This Privacy Policy explains how RoverLead (“RoverLead,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use roverlead.com and the RoverLead Service.

1) What data we collect

A) Account and billing data
Name, email, password (hashed), organisation/workspace info, billing details (handled by payment processors), and plan information.

B) Lead profile data (lead intelligence data)
We may store lead profile information such as:

• name, LinkedIn URL, profile image URL

• headline/job title/company, company size/industry, location

• employment metadata (time in role, workplace type, employment type), limited work history fields

• education fields (if stored)

• timestamps like created_at / first_discovered_at

C) Workspace activity data
Your usage of leads in the product, such as: outreach status, feedback/tags, export events, and related timestamps.

D) Usage and device data
Log data, device/browser info, IP address, and analytics events.

E) Communications
Support requests, feedback, and messages you send us.

Note: If you later add email enrichment, we will update this policy and specify what is collected, from where, and how it is used.

2) Sources of data

We collect data from:

• you (account creation, settings, feedback, exports)

• public-facing sources you choose to analyse or reference (e.g., publicly available professional profile information)

• service providers (analytics, payments, hosting)

3) How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

• provide and operate the Service (accounts, features, matching, lead feeds)

• maintain lead history and workflow status inside your workspace

• improve and secure the Service (fraud prevention, monitoring, troubleshooting)

• communicate with you (support, product updates)

• comply with legal obligations

4) Lawful basis (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

Where UK GDPR/EU GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more lawful bases:

• Contract - to provide the Service to you (account, workspace, and operation of the product).

• Legitimate interests - to operate and improve a B2B lead intelligence and outreach-workflow product, prevent abuse, and secure the Service.

• Consent - where required (for example certain cookies or marketing emails to you).

• Legal obligation - for example tax/accounting or lawful requests.

Legitimate interests - lead profile / B2B intelligence data

Where we process publicly available professional profile information (for example LinkedIn profile fields such as name, headline, company, and profile URL) to provide B2B lead intelligence and workspace features, we rely on legitimate interests in running a B2B prospecting product for our customers.

We keep this limited to professional/business-context data, minimise fields, do not seek special-category data, and provide an objection channel at privacy@roverlead.com. Customers remain responsible for who they contact and what they send.

5) Sharing and service providers

We may share data with vendors who help us run the Service (processors), such as:

• hosting/infrastructure providers

• payment processors

• analytics/monitoring tools

• customer support tools

We do not sell personal data.

6) International transfers

If personal data is transferred outside the UK/EU, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the UK Addendum and/or Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.

7) Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to run the Service and meet legal duties.

• While your account is active, we keep account, workspace, and related lead/workflow data needed to provide the Service.

• When you cancel or we close your account, we delete your customer account and associated workspace data within 30 days, unless we must keep something longer by law (for example invoices).

• If you connect a third-party integration, related connection data and synced data we hold for that connection is deleted within 30 days of disconnect or account deletion.

Export: You can request an export of your workspace/account data by emailing privacy@roverlead.com (or using in-product export where available). We aim to provide it within 30 days.

• Delete: You can request deletion of your account at any time via privacy@roverlead.com or by cancelling in-product. We delete within 30 days as set out above.

• Prospect / lead objections: Individuals whose professional profile data appears in the Service can contact privacy@roverlead.com to object or request erasure where applicable.

  
  

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (access controls, encryption in transit, and operational safeguards). No system is 100% secure.

9) Your rights (UK/EU)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• access, correct, delete, or port personal data

• object to or restrict certain processing

• withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

• lodge a complaint with your regulator (UK: ICO)

To exercise rights, contact privacy@roverlead.com. We generally respond within 30 days where required.

10) US privacy rights

If you are in certain US states (e.g., California), you may have rights to access, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of certain forms of “selling” or “sharing” as defined by law.

RoverLead does not sell personal information in the ordinary sense. You can submit requests at privacy@roverlead.com.

11) Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for login/session functionality and analytics. Where required, we provide cookie consent controls.

12) Third-party links and platforms

The Service may link to third-party sites or rely on third-party platforms. Their privacy practices are their own.

13) Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18.

14) Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date.
